Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins were top 2 selections. But the best rookie at Summer League wasn’t even selected in this year’s draft. Admittedly, Nerlens Noel is a loophole player — he was selected sixth overall in the 2013 NBA Draft. Regardless, you’d have a hard time making the case he’s not the best rookie at Summer League. The 6-foot-11 youngster is disturbing the peace in all the right ways.

On Tuesday, he had four blocks.

“When the guards start being a little more timid on their drives and they start shooting a lot more floaters then I know I’m the reason,” Noel said, via Pro Basketball Talk.

Noel has played strong and tough these last few games. Though he’s supposedly around 230 pounds, which makes him quite light, and more likely to get pushed around once he steps onto the court with veterans. Dwight Howard would have his way with the rookie. But rookies are the best competition he’s got right now — and he’s making it look easy.

I'd love to have Noel and Elfrid Payton instead of Holiday.

Payton coming home would have been huge, but maybe the Pelicans select Burke instead of Noel had they decided to keep the pick instead of trade and this year draft Randle or someone

He looks good...

But I also hate how hes classified as a rookie, when hes not. Blake Griffin was the same way. Yea i get that they were hurt, but at the same time they were on an NBA team, in an NBA system, participated in practice some way or another, paid by an NBA team, etc. Was he in the NBA last year? Yes. Did he get paid by an NBA franchise last year? Yes. Therefore, this is his 2nd season in the league. Not a rookie. But the NBA goes on calling him a rookie, Blake Griffin winks Rookie of the Year in his 2nd season, etc. Just something I dont get that annoys me.

Rant over.

If we would've kept the picks it'd probably be Burke and McDermott.

Burke and possible Gordon/Randle imo....

had Burke been the starter it would have been between 1-3 wins or losses

Doug Mc had another 20pt game, 6ast, 5reb

TJ Warren has balled out too

Highlights of McBuckets 20 vs TWolves today. Dude has got legit NBA 3 point range.

Some of those 3s had multiple guys in his face, and he drained them. Also looks like he lost a bit of weight between the past season at Creighton and now.

Also showed some nice post game, face ups, and passing.

I know its Summer League, but this guy has me excited for the Bulls this season

he was my favorite player in the draft by far. I dont think people realize how elite of a shooter he truly was in college
