. . . is now an asian market called "Golden City Asian Market". It's supposed to be super clean and rival Hong Kong Market for quality and selection.

Anybody been there yet?

Funny... a girl I work with was telling me about this during lunch. Supposedly they sell food like banh mi among other things as well. I'll probably pass by after work to see if they sell fresh produce.

Yes, I went right after they opened. Not even close to the Hong Kong level. They did have a lot of empty space in there that I would expect would get filled in with inventory. If you search you can probably find my thread.

If they have a similar seafood, produce and sandwich deli then this is the best news I heard all week.

Well like I said I went as soon as they opened. It's been a couple months since and i could tell they were not done with putting inventory in the place. Didn't see any Banh Mi but they did have a little area where hot food could be served. I'll go check it out tomorrow again.

Just came from. It's not on the level of Hong Kong. It has all the essential dry ingredients and the frozen section is pretty extensive. It has a banh mi section with maybe 7 different options... but that's about it. There's no roasted pork/duck or baked goods section. There is a meat/fish section but the selection is limited and I saw more of a helper back there as opposed to a butcher.

Think a cleaner Dong Khanh(Westbank) or Viet My(Eastbank).
