So my NES and SNES appear to be dead

Finally getting around to hooking them up to test out some of the games I have found and I guess years in the hot attic killed them.
I haven't tested my N64 or Sega yet but I imagine they're the same way.
I am thinking of grabbing this. It would be cool to actually have the old systems and all but in the end IDC about actually collecting them. Just want to play a few old games and test some of the others I want to sell.

Looks interesting. Just need something with an N64 option as well.

If you are looking for a N64, there are plenty last time I was at GameXchange here in Shreveport for real cheap.

I might have an extra nes at my parents house.

I am about to go dig my N64 out to test them too. I have two so hopefully one works.
Man, I really want to fix my NES and SNES for nostalgia purposes. IDC to order new ones but I still remember the day I got each of these. I grew up a poor black child and my mom getting these for me/us was some of the happier days I remember. Sucks they don't work!
ETA: Can't check my N64 because neither one of my TVs have A/V hook ups. Just HDMI and Component

I've been kicking around the idea for a few years of doing a mini-itx build with hdmi out to play roms on my tv. The main reason is that my games/systems are dying.

I figured with all the games you've found you have 3-4 of each system too

I do on newer systems. Like I have 3 Xbox OGs, 4 or 5 PS1s and PS2s, 3 360s, etc but on the older consoles I have yet to find a NES or SNES. Just have my original ones.
My NES powers on but the light flashes on and off
My SNES powers on but I get no signal

That surprises me. I still have both my systems.

Make sure you don't get one with wireless controllers. It's not Bluetooth. It's point at the receiver style and is unplayable

Go to the lukie games site and order the pin connectors. That's what I did and fixed both of mine they were $7 or $8 if I remember correctly. They send you instructions how to change them it's takes maybe 5 minutes. Easy cheap quick fix.

If it comes on but no signal, the game has not set right on the connector pins. Either keep trying different games, taking them in and out, clean the pins and game cartridge with a cotton swab or change out the connector. Those old systems were pretty simple, there's really not a lot to go wrong with one.
I've heard the three in one systems change the music and sound effects on some of the games. FYI

Yeah the red light flashing doesn't mean it's dead. Mine does it when I play my old games.

Parts aren't expensive and not hard to come by. You can even buy motherboards for each of them.

So I bought one of these and an RF modulater and I am all good now. Just started cleaning and testing all of those games I found and the most expensive ones work so far!
I am about to put Stack Up and Ducktales 2 for NES on eBay

You have Duck Tales 2? Nice.
Give me a heads up if you are going to put Super Turrican up for sale.

I already tested it and I am going to sell it. I just found the book for it too.
