I have never understood when someone says my dog is 78 years old but in actual real life its like 10 years.
Just curious is all!

Dogs age 7 times faster than humans. Multiply 1 year by 7.

Nobody really does that.

Cut one open and count the rings bub

But yeah I don't know anyone who says my dog is 78, that would be asinine.
They usually say he is 10 and one can figure it is equivalent to a human being 70 in terms of aging.

I've never heard anyone say this in a real life conversation. Ever

78 would be a pretty exact number to get to since its not a multiple of 7

My SO's dog is 13, so over 90 in dog years.

It sounds like something my creepy Uncle Sal would say

A few vets have told me that isn't really accurate.

I know its very uncommon but I have heard it a few times in my life from people that own dogs

Yeah, it is more of an approximation than an exact science.

My Dog is seven, not 49. IMO

i mean, i've heard people say "my dog is 10" and someone would reply " that's 70 in dog years".
but, i've never asked someone "how old is your dog" and had them answer "70".
