Do people actually think this impacted the game in a negative way for the Saints?

It came up on reddit. People seem to think it was the turning point in the game

Only because the announcers mentioned it. People forget the players can't hear what's being said in the booth.

Hard for me to believe an 88 yard Saints td turned the game in the Bears favor.

They were just better.

He ran right to me in the corner of that endzone. The crowd was hushed at that moment, which was a nice change. Damn were those fans NASTY!

I was sitting next to some dude who played high school ball in San Diego...and supposedly had "tackled" Reggie once back then. I think he said it was more of a group tackle

We had the momentum for sure. They went 3 and out and we brought the ball down to their 18 and missed the go ahead field goal. Touchdown, safety, touchdown the next 3 possessions

This was really huge! Kicking was not good that day, but the conditions were tough

yea it was set up on a tee, then fred thomas and bullocks happened. also still pissed that we turned it over on that colston fumble in the first quarter. i think devery had caught a long pass and ha dus on the brink of fg range on the 1st possession but we ended up punting.

Yea we got down to their 20 by running the ball then SP decides to throw it 3 straight times. Never understood that.

It really was. The legal pick by the WR sprung him wide open.

That is possibly the worst video quality I have seen in quite some time.

Yup. Deuce was money that day. Running hard, breaking some tackles. The Bears defense was on their heels that drive and we had the momentum with a chance to grind them down some more.

Payton throws three straight plays and then brings in Cundiff to try the long FG. Such a let down and the wheels just came off after that.

Personally, being there, I thought it fired up the crowd and the Bears.
The Saints crumbled after that. So yes

Well, considering they went three and out on their next possession and then we drove it down to their 18 on ours, I would say you are wrong. Crap like this never effects the players. Just the fans and media. Im sure the Bears didnt really care about winning the NFC Championship until Reggie showed them up

a 90 yard touchdown fired up the Bears? Someone else in this thread said the opposite:

The Reggie Bush taunt on Urlacher

Hearing this in the days after the game pissed me off so fricking bad.

It was just another attempt to give Reggie unwarranted shite
