My prediction is that the price system will be gone in a generation.

Exactly, and no one seems to thing that anything will happen. I guess we just can spend and spend and nothing will ever happen. This is the world of depending on government on everything.

Yes. I can provide for myself and my family. I'm passing this on to my son as well. Even if everything gets straightened out, these are always good skills to have (hunting, fishing, farming, etc.).

Amen brother. We can only do what we can. There will be a uprising sooner or later I can promise you that.

The OP should learn to use complete sentences and spell words like "our" correctly.

Yep.

I learned many off-grid skills from my grandparents who were alive during The Great Depression such as gardening, canning, hunting, fishing...

I think we are NOT going to see a TEOTWAWKI but rather something similar to the Great Depression during the 1930s and part of the 1940s.

The country has too much debt, no real economic growth, wages are stagnant, high unemployment(check out the U6 figures), too many people who think they are 'entitled' to someone providing for them. When the sugar-tit of government freebies is cut off, a lot of people are gonna be in a real SHTF.

Look what happened last year when all the EBT computers went down. The lemmings started to panic. Just think when it really happens, there is going to be widespread panic, maybe even looting and rioting. We just got a small glimpse of what a SHTF could look like in this country.

Thats why I am what many call a 'prepper'. Many people roll their eyes at that notion but I keep it under wraps or OPSEC. If you met me, you wouldn't think I was a prepper, or what I really call a survivalist.

This country has 20 maybe 30 good years left in her.

This country still has tons of potential left in her and I think she could go on another 200 years of prosperous living but I just don't see.

Our country right at this moment is being invaded by thousands of sick, diseased people. Thugs and gangsta's are pouring into our city's, towns, villages.

It was a great country(still is). I am just saddened, sickened, and angered that future generations in this country will not know the blessings that I & tens of millions more in this country have known.

Sad, really sad.

Some type of violent uprising is coming down the pike. It's been coming for some time. Since the late 60's. Everything seems to be coming unhinged all at once.

You're full of shite. I'm a boomer, I didn't create this problem, nor did the boomers. You need to educate yourself.

The people who created this mess are of LBJ's generation.

And I worry constantly over what kind of nation my children will grow up in.

The Greatest Generation couldn't have created this. I mean they were great and all.
