How entitled and petulant can a populace be when they bitch about a ten pound fee? Their health system has a 2 billion dollar budget deficit (will increase to thirty billion eventually). Read about it here.

A solution prposed by politicians and leaders there has been a 10 pound monthly charge towards the NHS. Of course, the same twits who claim care is a "right" are crying foul.

Imagine that. An extremely wealthy western nation is getting worked up over a fricking 10 pound monthly charge. This is what entitlement does.

Here are some articles on the proposal:

I'll never understand why people on here care so much about what goes on in England and France, or at the local level in Berkley and NYC.

If you don't like it, don't live there.

Sorry you don't care about international news. When we look at these nations, we are looking into the future of our own country, as the Democratic party has made it their goal to mimic nearly every single domestic policy of the European union.

You don't believe in looking at other countries' actions and results to analyze our options?

Well, when the statists always use European government programs as a success story or examples of how we should do things here, these programs seem to become canaries in the mineshaft or future predictions of the success or failures of said government programs here in the US.

nope, truth, unless by "paranoia" you mean "taking someone at their word when they say that is what they want to do over and over and over again"

I know a girl that lives in the UK. Her friend broke his arm on a Thursday and was told they couldn't get him in to see a doctor until Monday because it wasn't a life threatening injury. Sounds like an A-1 system to me.

When comparing outcomes for diseased patients, it is far shittier than ours.

The fact that they have a healthier population is irrelevant to this discussion. They have a fish-based diet and better lifestyle habits on the whole. However, once they get sick they are far less likely to have positive outcomes than Americans are.

what are your issues with Obamacare, and what would you propose, as a system, if you could change it all?

DS regularly states his disapproval of Obamacare. Mr. Sanctions favors a single payer system.

He has to edit his "paranoia" post first.
