I say jim Morrison, he is the epitome of the rock n roll lifestyle.

Runners up would be Mick Jagger, axl rose and john Lennon.

Music board blows ot lounge is where it's at. Plus this question is more related to the image, personality and lifestyle of said person, not necessarily musical talents. Discussions of sex and drugs is better in the ot.

James Brown. Not the classical lead man of a band I grant you, but NO ONE slayed an audience like JB. Jagger, Michael Jackson, etc., etc. all borrowed some of JB's stuff, but no one rival Brown for sexuality, originality, moves, energy, and so on.

The fact that you didn't mention Robert Plant shows that you belong no where near the music board.

Jagger.

He has stayed alive.

Morrison was a personal train wreck. His success destroyed him. If he could have made it passed "rock and roll death age" he would have a shot.

Lennon split frontman duties with Paul.

I like a Jagger. Lennon loses a lot of credibility because of that crazy bitch Yoko.
