So she took YOUR ipad? As in she stole it?

I'm pretty sure I've heard of people remotely wiping a stolen ipad or iphone. I don't own any apple products so I really can't help you. I'm sure it is probably something through icloud.

If you have Find My IPhone enabled, you can completely wipe it like it's a new iPad, and it will not sync. It's a tool if your device is literally stolen.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that since you don't have physical access to the iPad to turn off iMessage you'll need to either remotely wipe the iPad if you have Find my iPhone/iPad turned on. If you can't do that you might be able to call Apple and have them disassociate the phone number or email address you use with iMessage.

Why don't you just go and take it back? Did she get the iPad in the break up settlement?

Tell her to give you the iPad back or you'll have the sheriff come get it.

you can remotely push 'android lost' to your device and then wipe it without ever having access to the device..even if data is turned off

oh wait..this is an ipad.

screw the Christmas present story. call the fuzz and tell them she stole your ipad and is accessing your personal data without your permission.

If your iOS device or Mac is lost or stolen, you can erase it if you set up Find My iPhone on the device before it was lost.
