Wipe it remotely with "Find my IPhone."

I'm just trying to help the OP.
I'm all Android. Everytime I decide to give IOS a try I've been met with bad luck.

If your Apple ID is still associated with it, just turn FindMyPhone on and remote wipe it. It's pretty easy.

1) Send a text to a friend complaining about this very subject
2) Friend asks "what are you going to do about THAT?" in a text reply.
3) You respond "If that iPad is not at my doorstep for me to wipe by Noon tomorrow..I am going to start emailing and texting all of the nudes I have of that chick to everyone I know and some random numbers.
4) Listen for screeching tires at your front door

well, we were talking about apps for one platform or the other which were clearly better.
what's better than an app that can be remotely installed on a stolen phone and then wipe/make the theif's experience miserable on said phone.

viable option^^^^ tell the chick she can keep it, she just has to bring it to you to wipe. takes like 5 minutes
regardless of the fact that what she is doing is against the law. Look up Louisiana cyber crime laws. you may be surprised

+1
Considering she is accessing your emails and such, this may qualify under identity theft. If she sends out a response as you, it definitely does.
Get the law involved.

Wow.
Technically she stole over 500 dollars, and if she's logging into your accounts, that's privacy invasion and identity theft.
I'd call the cops on a bitch.

Does the Android app work with a tablet without any kind of set up done before it is lost or stolen to receive SMS texts (since Op was about an iPad)? Link seems mostly about phones and using SMS to send it to them as far as to using it when not preinstalled.

He doesn't care about his post being 100% irrelevant.
He only cares about being a flaming fanboy and "scoring a point" against evil Apple who apprently killed his father and burned his village down.

works for both. SMS is just another way to get to your device in case the thief turned off the data.
android lost provides about 60 different ways to get to your device to shut it down/backup your data/get it back if its been stolen.
for instance, via SMS you can send commands to isntall android lost on it, turn wifi and data back on even if its been turned off, backup your files, wipe the phone, call the police, etc.

But if app was not installed on a tablet which also did not have SMS texting set up beforehand on it can this app still be installed and run on this tablet when you no longer have it?
Actually interested on how it does this on a tablet with just WiFi that never had app installed in the first place or never set up to receive SMS message from a linked phone.

you can install things on a device from the play store website. So, you go to play.google.com from any computer, log in, go to the app, click install, choose the device from the drop down menu and voila its installed on the device like magic.

I'm still not really sure how this is different from going into iTunes, turning FindMyPhone on and remote wiping the iPad.
