Abortion quotas--how did we get so twisted??

Regardless of your view on abortion how can anyone agree with Planned Parenthood's apparent abortion quotas for their clinics across the country??
Who are the twisted people running this organization??
LINK
Is this what our government encourages with their funding?

abortion quotas
When something is the number 1 or 2 source of your revenue in a multi-hundred-million dollar business, you're going to have a quota for it.

Granted this was 5 or 6 years ago, but when I did some consulting work for a Planned Parenthood facility, abortion was their 4th or 5th source of revenue. Most of their revenue(around 70%) was government grants to provide contraceptive and gynecological services. That was just one facility though.

Why must you and your ilk fight battles that were lost long, long ago?
Abortions are here to stay, as it should be.
They should be free, there's too many fricking people.

But I'm sure you're for amnesty, right?

This is the real rationale behind the big money contributors to planned parenthood. They don't have real compassion for poor pregnant women. They believe the best way to end the "problem" of lower case poverty is too limit its procreation.

Well, as their funding for abortion largely comes from FedGov, the government is far and away their main source of income. The amount they receive specifically for abortions is somewhere around $150M a year. If we want to quibble about where that fits in the spectrum we can. But it's obvious that it's a huge source of their revenue and as it's dependent upon the number they perfom (in a way their other government incomes are not), quotas are almost necessarily and horribly established to protect the revenue stream.

That's because when these dregs keep shitting out babies and refuse to cork it, they cost money, money that you and nobody else wants to pay. Especially the Republican Party.
Naturally, not aborting these future dependents creates the following options.
1. Build a Third World Oligarchy full of poors.
2. Bloat the budget for welfare subsidies.
Reality is a bitch.

Maybe it has changed, but they could not use federal money for abortion services when I was working with them. The one I worked with was smaller, but still had 4 or 5 different checking accounts to keep the funding and expenses segregated. As part of receiving federal money, they get audited every year and one of the main goals of the audit is to make sure they're complying with that. I'm sure there are some that mix their funds, but I doubt that many public accounting firms are signing off on audits where they found them using federal money for abortions.

I know what you're saying, but any business will tell you that pretending revenue streams aren't commingled in the operation of a business isn't reality.
If I'm running a restaurant I don't take my soda revenue and pay for my marketing budget with it.
I should be more precise in noting federal dollars are not directly paying for abortions, though. Thanks.

As far as the overhead of the clinics are concerned federal dollars go a long way toward paying their cost regardless of how it comes into their budget.

Why do you care?
We spend a trillion dollars militarizing the Earth. You and your ilk bitch incessantly about welfare, our politicians spend more to fight welfare fraud than they do fighting financial crime.
They're people, animals. They frick. They want to frick, they're gonna frick, they're gonna breed. If you don't stop this fricking nonsense you're going to be surrounded by poverty and filth.
Pay them to sterilize if you are so against abortion. $200,000, tax free for anyone under the poverty line.

So why does it have to be a bitch at the taxpayer's expense? Why can't it be a bitch to the individuals who aren't practicing safe sex?
Choices have consequences. Choose not to use a condom during sex and you can get pregnant. Reality is a bitch.

Because if we don't pay the pennies on the front end, we are going to be paying the Benjamins on the back end.

True, and it probably varies greatly from facility to facility. The one I worked with only did 2 or 3 abortions per year, so it was a very, very low number when talking about indirect costs.
And I do think quotas are deplorable if they are being used. Just correcting the talking point that federal money is used for abortions at Planned Parenthood facilities. I'm not in agreement with everything they do, but I think the majority of Planned Parenthood facilities provide a valuable service to many women.
