R&A gives Tom Watson an extended exemption for St. Andrews in 2015

Next year will be the 40th anniversary of his first Open Championship.

He's never won at St. Andrews. Good on the R&A.

Still can't believe he didn't seal it in '09. Still incredible to come in second at his age.

I still that he let Cink steal that one from him. Would have been one of (if not THE) greatest feats in golf history.

One of my favorite sports memories was watching him make a run at it, would have been awesome to see him pull it off.

Can't believe the deep fields that Tiger plays against that are better than Jacks era let Cink and Watson battle it out.

Not as many as now but quite a few started going after Arnie won over there. Before that the prize money if you won didn't even cover your plane ticket to get there.
