We have one if we're one the 3 worst or 10 best teams in the league

I'm a UK fan but pull for teams with UK guys on them. I will say the GM isn't the smartest guy in the room. Instead of having a pick last year and this year he gets a selfish pg that was injured most of the year. Now no first round pick next year for an over rated slow center. Missing out on cheap contracts. JH was selfish in Philly and will hurt the team. Not sure he can go without shooting and feeling like he's the man. I want the best for the pelicans since AD is there but you may want a new GM. Good luck though, I'll be watching and cheering for their success.

What?

How on earth is jrue selfish? I'd like to hear your evidence of that.

Uh he's one of the best defensive centers in the NBA and and an amazing rebounder. The pick will very likely be in the late teens and we keep it if it's 20 and past. There's a TON of GMs that would do that trade.

What on earth are you talking about? You seem angry about us trading noel(who we probably wouldn't have taken anyway.)

Appreciate the fact that you root for us but it doesn't seem you know what you're talking about. Especially about Holiday.

Yes, because being in the top 5 in assist per game in 2012-2013 and averaging what would have put him just outside the top 5 per game this year just screams "selfish".

The Asik deal is easily the best move he's made since signing Anderson. I would have liked 1-14 (lottery protection) on the pick, but it's not awful. Asik is a premier rebounding and defensive center. He will cover up a lot of mistakes. It means they can go for shooting at the 3 rather than trying to find a 2 way player. That is a much easier problem to solve.

We're pretty bad at that

Somewhat, there are worse.

quote:

Selfish..? Averages 8.0apg, shoots only 13.4 times per game, and in the best month he had when the team jelled he averaged 9.0apg

quote:

You just recently became a fan or something? That slow 'overrated' defensive center is loads better than anything we have. Add to the fact he could also rebound, damn that's a great combination with the PF we have...right?

quote:

Missing out on cheap contracts.

Yes, that cheap contract for a center that has 0 offensive ability coming off a torn ACL that has not played in the NBA yet. Oh, and the team that traded for him picked up a questionable center that if healthy could be one of the best by the end of his rookie contract. Oh, you mean Payton who may or may not be as good as Jrue.

quote:

JH was selfish in Philly and will hurt the team.

16.5fga; 8apg
Have you seen that team? I think you're mistaking jrue for Evan Turner

quote:

Not sure he can go without shooting and feeling like he's the man

wtf...do I have to bring up every PG's fga that averages 8+apg?
Actually, lets do that:
10.7apg - 14.0fga - CP3
9.8apg - 11.7fga - Rondo
8.8apg - 16.3fga - Wall
8.8apg - 7.8fga - Marshall
8.8apg - 13.0fga - Lawson
8.6apg - 8.2fga - Rubio
8.5apg - 17.7fga - Curry
7.9apg - 13.4fga - Holiday

Rondo, Marshall, and Rubio all shoot 40% or lower. CP3 and Curry are the only two PGs that have more assist and shoot at a higher % as well.

Good luck though, I'll be watching and cheering for their success.

Yeah, I think you should pass and kindly gtfo

Yes I was THAT bored to answer every single piece.

What is the latest info on the protection? The last I heard was really vague.

There hasn't been any info beyond the 1-3, 20-30 protection.

We probably won't know for sure until the trade is officially announced, but it seems like that is the deal.
