He has been very underwhelming in the group stage. Portugal, he was ok but still wasn't the spark we have come to expect. He has become my favorite US player and it was very disappointing to see him struggle so far.

But after watching his interview after the game, he seems like a different person. He looked much more relaxed and relieved to be through. This is bad news for Belgium. I think he gets back to form on Tuesday and sends us into the quarters.

The reports of Bradley's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

How many more times will you give him a pass? Will you give him a pass if we get knocked out? No.

3 times is enough for me. I'm just 'whatever' with Bradley right now.

He is what he is.

You're not going to magically see a different Bradley on the field come Tuesday.

Bradley plays great against inferior competition but has been lack luster during group play

Bradley has not been bad outside of two or three big occasions (same as Geoff Cameron basically), but he has not lived up to expectations. He has still a lot of things right, but people are hoping and expecting him to maybe be the difference maker.

I think Bradley's play is a side effect of Altidore's absence. Hopefully, if Altidore returns, Bradley can get back to being stellar, rather than just solid.

This guy gets it.

Right now we are effectively running a 4-6-0 because Clint Dempsey isn't a true center forward. There's no point of attack for whom Bradley and Jones can aim.

Don't give him a pass because he will kick it directly to the other team.

What's killed me more than his passing is his first touches. It's like the ball pops off of his foot every time he touches it.

There's been a thread like this after every game so far and nothing has changed

The haters still hate on him and the people who actually follow the team know better.

Bradley hasn't been playing great this tournament but he's still one of our most important players, and saying otherwise is just ignorance. We can't replace him with anyone in our squad, and not having Altidore has really messed things up.

I'm not trying to bash his effort or question his talent. I know he's good. But he's clearly not playing like he's capable of. I don't know if it was the field conditions today or Jozy being out but he's been underperforming.

And so far every game people say he'll be back to his normal self next game and it hasn't happened yet.

That being said, I'm not saying he won't get back to normal but at this point I'm not really counting on it.

Jozy being out

Once again this is a huge reason why Bradley isn't himself.

We were built around Jozy holding the ball up for Bradley, and for Bradley to distribute to our wide midfielders. Right now we're stuck in this awkward formation where our wide midfielders are pinned deep in their own half. Kyle Beckerman isn't allowed to cross the midline, thus leaving Jermaine Jones as Bradley's only player available for link up play.

Clint looks dead tired trying to chase and hassle opposing defenders.

Also, if Jones is able to bring down that excellent lofted through ball from Bradley in the first half, would we be having this conversation?

You're right, so I'm not going to argue you. I've been disappointed in him because he hasn't lived up to his high standard. But we don't have anyone to replace him and he's needed on the field for his work rate.
