Why have the Cavs not accepted this offer for the #1 pick?

The Magic have reportedly offered the fourth pick, the 12th pick and Arron Afflalo for the Cavs' top pick in the draft, according to ESPN.com.

Interesting. Afflalo has said he'd want to go to a contender and the Cavs would at least have a shot to make the playoffs even before they get a chance to make a splash in free agency. He'd also be a nice fit as a perimeter player for the Cavs, especially given their massive hole on the wing in the Kyrie Irving era. This offer is in the same ballpark as the Jazz reportedly offering Derrick Favors and No. 5 or the Sixers offering Thaddeus Young and No. 3.

Assuming the offer is true

Who do the Magic want so badly for that deal? Parker? Wiggins?

Doubt it's true and if it was the Cavs would be dumb to make a trade now.. who knows what offers teams will throw out on draft night. Especially Philly.

The longer they wait, the more offers they can field, and it drives the price up. Everyone is trying to outbid everyone else to get the pick. The Cavs can sit back, field offers, let the price rise and then handpick the best offer.

Thats assuming they want to trade. Doubt it though.

So a solid wing, the 4th pick in a "big 3" draft, and a 12th overall is a steal nowadays?!!?!?! If you really believe there are transcendent talents in this draft, who cares about a couple lottery picks and a body?

This is a shite offer IMO. This isn't football where depth is key and you always want to trade back. This is the opposite where you want the most talent per player and frick depth.

It isn't as great of an offer as you and Bill Simmons are playing it out to be.

Methinks that the Cavs are going to pick whomever gives them the best shot to get LeBron back. Which would be a bad decision. Take Wiggins or Parker and enjoy their HoF career.

One does not simply try to make sense of Dan Gilbert's Cavs

Maybe. Maybe not. There is still 2 days til the draft. There could be a better offer out there. And if they accept this trade right now, they would frick themselves and would miss out of a better offer.

No point in accepting now when there is a chance they could get a better offer. Even the slightest of chances. Still could happen.

I don't think Bron has anything to do with this pick.

Take Wiggins and have him play the 2/3.

Parker is fat, out of shape and can't guard the three. Sounds like Anthoney Bennett all over again.

No fricking Thanks

They want a very young experienced player and he is on top of their list. Doubtful SA gives him up but thats what I am told.

They know Thad is opting out or demanding a trade so they have to get that experience.

I was listening to Bill Simmons and Chad Ford talk about this pick. They could not figure out at all why Cleveland would want Parker over Wiggins. It just doesn't fit with a roster that already can't guard anyone.
