NOLA for Life takes a wide-ranging approach, including aggressive prosecution of gang- and drug-related violence, educating teenagers about the consequences of criminal acts and improving relations and trust between residents and police, among other initiatives.

Last year, there was a 20 percent decline in murders in New Orleans from 2012. In the first three months of this year, the number of murders was down by nearly 30 percent.

I mean, good things are happening but c'mon man.

allot of small crimes don't get reported.
I know I have never reported a vehicle break in in NOLA, it just takes too long to get a cop to come out.

Unless you're a black male between the age of 15-25 that is involved with gang activities.

Would a big part of "livable" be not getting shot?

You should be more careful with where you park.

I like how they mention how murder is down. Even murderers need to take a break and they go tout that shite all over the place like they did something.

Do you live in NOLA or work in NOLA ? Or are you just posting something to spawn a hate NOLA vs NOLAtard thread ?

It makes for good conversation. I don't hate NOLA. If anything, it is frustrating watching the potential that the city and state have go to waste.

Pro/anti NOLA threads are never good conversation.

As a person who actually lives in city it's nice to see how much the city has improved. Is there more to be done, hell yes, but we are making progress. You just worry about your chicken wings brah.

That's why I am a NOLA lover

The people in denial do nothing but hinder progress

NOLA love = admitting some difficult truths, and since some people need to be figuratively bashed over the head with a frying pan to shake them out of denial/apathy, I will continue telling them the truth...Living in NOLA blows
