Will Portugal game cause US to come out flat or dominant against Germany?

I have a weird feeling the US will dominate the Germany game. This is an inspired group of players who truly believe they are as talented as anyone. They're a dangerous group, despite Bradley being a weak link.

Bradley our best player, he may not be playing like it, but he is going up against great teams and some really good midfields. I think if we stay sound on defense and do not allow a goal, we should be able to sneak one in around the 60'. We will be fine Thursday.

I just hope if we get through that Jozy will be able to play

Might as well just bench Bradley for Green at this point.

If we dominate Germany after our last two results, then we're at an entire different level as a national team than at any point in our history.

We will need to pick and choose our times to go forward very carefully. We will need our best defense effort of the World Cup to draw Germany.

I'm praying so hard Portugal and Ghana draw or Portugal win and we go by on GD. I can't see us losing and Ghana winning and us still making it through.

So is the rest of the team...and they're rising to the occasion.

The Bradley comment is better ignored.

However, I'm not concerned about the US coming out flat emotionally/mentally but am really worried about coming out flat physically.

I follow Italy pretty closely and though I've seen them play terribly uninspired matches against lesser teams more often than not, however I'm not sure I've seen them look so sluggish and spent physically as they did after their Manaus match.

Croatia looked pretty sluggish after Manaus match as well. . .

Yeah, England didn't look all that great either.

Do you have anything worthy to contribute to this thread? Surely you have a soccer opinion.

I mean, you're here on this board, so surely you can contribute some soccer analysis, right?

I'm sorry, but no. I'm not sure when was the last time Germany got dominated in a major tournament.

Actually, it's been anything but nice and clean here since the World Cup started, but that's for the multiple other nonsensical threads that will be started between now and Thursday morning.

To the fitness situation, the only team that seems to have coped with the ill effects of playing in Manaus are the Cameroonians, who played their best against Brazil today. However, Cameroon were pure shite this go around, so using them as a metric is kind of tough. Also, they are more accustomed to that particular climate than any of the other teams.
