Why were people chanting Utah State cheers at the Bulldog?

A group of people started the "I believe that we will win" Utah State chant after the second goal today...

I don't know if we started it ... I just know it started after I was gone ... I could give two shits about the chant ... more concerned with actually winning, not believing in winning.
My wife thinks it is a cool chant. She went to Purdue. They don't win much at anything.
