I recently watched a few of these on late night and forgot how brilliant the writing and cast was
Every major character was great on that show
I looked it up online and had forgot how acclaimed it was. 5 straight Emmys for best comedy and 37 total in its run.
Great show that seems to get lost in the shuffle when people throw around friends, Seinfeld, cheers, Cosby, etc for the Mount Rushmore of comedies.

Is this a spinoff thread about a spinoff show?

The episode where they did the play on the radio still cracks me up every time.

I think what hurt it most was the sharp downturn in quality (in my opinion at least) during that season when Niles and Daphne get together (season 7 maybe?). I remember the show actually got better again towards the very end but that extended dip hurt its memory.
But yeah, when it was firing on all cylinders, that show was great.

Fraisier was the greatest!

I've never seen the show, but I was up late channel surfing the other night and an episode was on, and featured in it was a younger, super blonde Zooey Deschanel. It was crazy.

My favorite show of all time. It was belly laugh as well as witty and smart kind of funny.
I never really watched it during its run either.

The episode where Niles sleeps with Lillith and he keeps falling asleep is classic

Even in the final years when it fell into a rut, the writing and acting was still the best of any sitcom.

"the impossible dream" is my favorite episode. He "wakes up" in a seedy hotel with tequila on the night stand and hears the shower running. He thinks he got drunk and slayed some babe...and then Gil Chesterton steps out of the shower.
The look of panic on his face is priceless.
