3 and 1 are pretty close. of course all are badass, 2 just didn't have the punch from episode to episode but is still great and had my favorite episode(blackwater)

Season 3 and 4 have way too much sprawl for their own good.
They both have good set pieces I guess I'd call them without a cohesive story being told to me.
S1 and s2, while the characters are spread throughout the world, the decisions they are making are informed and affected by the actions and movements of the other players.
The various storylines don't play well together right now.
I'm hopeful that stannis's arrival at the wall may signal a change in that regard moving forward.
