There's more LSU flags in Houston than UT flags

I moved to Houston in 2001 and the LSU commute there was huge then. It's only grown since then.

There's a ton of Houston people at LSU but so many of them go Greek at LSU so I'm not sure if that skews my view of how many they are.

I meant to say community. But to answer your question, every home game and at least 1-2 times/month. I went out a lot in Houston during the week, though. Live music and after work crowd was big.

I have my LSU flag flying high all year round......except during 4th of July and Xmas.

One thing I've noticed about Houston is that people have split LSU flags - LSU/Texas, LSU/Aggie etc. It looks turrible.

Guess the title of the thread should be "The positive influence of La transplants on Houston".

Before I moved to Houston in the late 90's (only lived there a year for work), I assumed everyone was a UT fan, sort of like everyone in Louisiana is an LSU fan, for the most part, unless you're associated with another school.

I sure was wrong.

Aside from people who actually went to UT, seems like everyone I met in Hpuston absolutely hated UT.

"Flag Flying" is largely an SEC fan thing..

(my parents being a notably embarrassing exception)

Nobody likes them. They don't even like themselves.

Most only liked them for that one game against USC.

Y'all are making a strong push for the number two spot in Houston as far as fanbases represented in the area. Actual alumni I bet you are number two honestly.

Yeah, I'd be embarrassed too if I wasn't a fan of an SEC school.
