Looking Ahead to the Knockout Round...

This may be buried in one of the game threads, but I noticed today that there is a potential Spain-Brazil matchup in the round of 16. 1st place from Group A plays 2nd place from group B and Spain is looking at 2nd place after losing to Holland.
I would almost give them a better shot of beating Brazil early in the knockout rounds before they gain momentum heading toward the final. They would also be playing in Belo Horizonte, which is probably easier than playing in the Marcana.
If Spain gets their act together and wins the next two games comfortably, would you favor them against Brazil?

I'd love to see that match-up based solely on the crowd reaction to Diego Costa.

I just don't think Spain can keep pace with Brazil.

They may win the next two games, but I doubt it will be "comfortable" against Chile.
I'd like Spain's chances against Brazil, more because I think Brazil is weak than I think Spain is strong.

Spain winning the next two games doesn't guarantee them a spot in the knockout round especially with the damage the Holland game did to their goal differential. Chile can beat Holland, and if that happens, Spain will be out.

Yeah, but that wouldn't be automatic. Holland could tie or lose against Australia.

I'm assuming Australia will lose all of their games since this is the least talented Australian team in years.

I agree. That match could go either way.

Especially if Vidal can get healthy enough to play.

I want Chile to get a result against Spain.
Then beat the shite out of Brazil in the 16.
Boom knock 2 diving arse teams out of the competition.
Frick Spain. Frick Brazil. Vamos Chile!

Bumping this for more way-too-early knockout round speculation...
Belgium drops points today and finishes second. The US finishes second to Germany and gets Russia/Algeria as the winner of Group H.
