You get divorced, she remarries the real father, and you still have to pay child support.

No this isnt a joke, this is real life.

For not paying child support for someone else's kid? Not saying you're wrong...but that makes no sense.

It seems like this happens a good amount. It's pretty shitty. If you get a paternity test right after birth, I think that you would be able to contest it, but a lot of guys wouldn't do that if they've been tricked into thinking that a trifling skeezer is trustworthy.

Ooh, that's some fricked up stuff but it's like this in most states, I believe. And the article is from 2009, what are you googling, old boy?

I cannot believe that we do not mandate paternity testing if requested by the father. Not just for this reason, but for medical and genetic knowledge. It's just irresponsible in modern times.

If your in a marriage a child is presumed to be the husbands under the eyes of the law. The husband has a two year window to seek a paternity test to remove his legal obligations to the child assuming it's not his. After that two year window there nothing to be done that I'm aware of.

This burns me up inside.

My little girl just turned three. I couldn't imagine how I would feel to find out she is not mine.
