Any of You Chef Types Know What Happened to Kid Creole?

Shut down pretty quick and now it's just a gas station.

Pretty sure there is still a Kid Creole run out of the Metry Bar.

Yeah, but that is his daughter and son-in-law from what I heard. Just wondered what happened to the guy, he seemed like a good guy and his food was top notch. It sounded like he had to liquidate quickly.

I don't see how the combo of good poboys and gas didn't make it in that location.

The Kid(Daryl)was forced out of the place on Airline when the lease ended and the owner increased the rent. Same deal as Charlie's Seafood I guess. Daryl wanted me to buy his equipment. Then an issue arose at the Metry Cafe location and it was shut down. He considered reopening there but couldn't work it out with Frank the owner of Metry.
Supposedly Brocattos(don't know who they are)is taking over and opening soon.
Now at the Airline location is a Valero gas station that sells food.

Yes! For the time being there is no more Kid Creole.
