group messaging app for both iOS and Android

most of us in our group are using iOS but messages has a limit of 10 members. i need a suggestion for an app that's on both platforms that will allow at least 30 members to communicate in a group.

I have groupme with like 15 or so friends. Its pretty legit

the great thing about groupme is the mute function.
I loathe group MMS messages because there's no escape.

There will be shortly. You can take yourself out of a group message or put it on do not disturb and not get the notification each time you get a message in that specific group.
