I need more digital storage and am looking for an external hard drive. What is the best bang for my buck in the >2TB range?

Open to either. Just want a reliable drive that will not crap out and prefereably is formated in FAT32 for use with either Windows or Mac.

Again, open to either but I lean towards USB. I haven't seen any reasonably priced NAS drives and may just use OS X Server to push my info to the web if I ever wanted to have remote access.

I have the Mybook 3T at the house and it does what it's supposed to at a decent price. I also have the 1T passport that is very compact and still has the USB 3.0

At the office I just moved us to a raided ReadyNAS and I like it so far. I was able to get a secondary NAS for offsite backup with it for right around $1k total and was finally able to turn off the AirBus we had preparing for takeoff.

I have 1 of these, 1 of these, and 1 of these. Have had them for well over a year and both have been fine. (note: the links are for slightly newer/updated versions of what I have -- slimmer, extra features, etc)

I use this as my main storage for my media center. I've been using it for about a year and a half and it's still going strong.

ETA: Looks like the 3rd one ILikeLSU linked is the same size and is $20 cheaper at the moment.

Yes, the one you linked is actually the one I own, but there's just been a slight update and price reduction to it since we bought ours.
