That’s when, according to KVUE, the officers shot Bullet a total of seven times.

The dog was taken away by police by the time Lane got back to her house.
“I thought my dog would still be there, I may have wanted to bury my dog in my backyard,” she told KVUE. “Who told you to take my dog away?”

Amateurs. Don't remove the body, drop a burner and claim self-defense!

Is this just a fad, or will it be part of the landscape for years to come?

That's some shite. Is there a running count on dogs killed by cops this year? Seems like it happens regularly these days.

I think as long as dogs are dumb enough to threaten someone with the ability to shoot them, it will keep happening.

That is irony, Mrs. Morisette.

The statistic I see quoted is every 98 minutes, but I'm not sure if that is shot or killed.

This is what I picture now when police hear a dachshund bark when they show up to a call....

So to recap:

- Alarm call is made
- There's a large dog at the house, who according to police was so threatening they had to shoot.

Wouldn't the burglar have left if the police were that threatened?

Maybe they thought the burglar was wearing a dog suit? It happens.

Cops killing dogs, or people posting about it?

Hopefully, they both are.

I would be curious to see the comparison between the falling crime rate and the discharge of officer's weapons.

We gotta lot of Barney Fife's that are just itching to shoot and drive fast, neither of which the majority do very well.
