How hard is it to get tickets to an actual taping? I know they give a lot out to UT employees and a few are given out through lottery, but is there anyway to get tickets for sure before 4 days prior?

Anyone in particular you're trying to see, or do you just mean in general? I've got a couple of friends who work there and MAY be able to help you, depending on the show.

Jeff Tweedy, June 20. There's not too many things I won't do to get in that show. Need anyone killed or anything?

They give out tickets by lottery, they post it on their website a few days before and you have to post on there for them.

They were pretty easy when I went, but it wasn't a high demand show - Patty Loveless.

I'm on the email list so I'll be watching that pretty close. They don't specify on the website if they give out singles or pairs though....

Tweedy will be extremely high demand, so there won't be many lottery tickets. It will be tough.

Bumping this cause I've been looking online and I can get tickets for me and the old lady to see him the next night for around $500, but it's only 165 people in the whole venue. This seems reasonable to me, but she's a dumb, idiot jerk who doesn't understand musical genius. Is this worth paying and doing?

Tweedy? Good luck man, he's a strong draw even solo.

Hell, I'd be happy just to catch Grand Champeen or Divine Fits at Parish, Continental Club,etc..

I know, I wanna hear some Uncle Tupello and Loose Fur. So $500, is that crazy or is this a once in a lifetime kind of thing? Any feedback is appreciated (especially in favor of doing it), here's something for your trouble:

Westerberg/Mats(gonna be at ACL 2014!)..Uncle Tupelo/Wilco/Tweedy..is never outta rotation for me.

But, I couldn't drop that kinda dime for a show, unless I thought I was gonna get an three hour epic display..is that what an ACL taping generally is?

This a show that you will be able to see a decent hunk of on HDTV or Internet..for free in coming months.`

How much are his sold out Ballroom tix going for? Which of the two shows is more likely to possibly be less time constrained and/or a better setlist?

The ACL show doesn't have a price, it's all lottery and people who know people. The $500 is the price on two tickets for a show the next night with just 165 people in attendance. That seems pretty amazing to me, that kind of intimate show with someone of this magnitude seems worth it. Just need some help convincing the girlfriend, was hoping y'all would help me out.

I watched some of his Loose Fur stuff on youtube and it sounded kinda shitty live. It would still be gnarly to make it to the show but if the price isn't right I think I could survive without going.
