Cabelas had an AR armorers toolkit on sale. I saw it online yesterday.

torque wrench for barrel nut. although the required torque is between 45-85 ft lbs i think

Anger/headache preventative The torque for barrel nuts vary per the handguard manufactures specs. Typically 30-80. My personal preference is around 40-60 depending on the alignment of the gas tube.
I broke down a BCM upper the other day and I thought the upper was going to crack. I had to get out the big breaker bar. They must of torqued that thing to 100.
Also, when installing the barrel nut make sure you use a non graphite lube such as moly slide.
You don't really need the ar15 multitool, but it is helpful if you don't have all the specific tools.

I really need to go ahead and get one of these. Very good description you've given it there.
Also, not that is necessary, I got a great deal on the Brownell's barrel ext tool a while back. Pretty nifty little tool for barrel nut torquing (with a torque wrench and armorers tool).

Dont forget the beer. Got to have ice cold beer for when you take a step back to admire the master piece your building.
