A part of me sees Harris becoming what we all hoped RP would be. The consensus is that he has the upper hand in being the starter, if not for the Wisky game, soon thereafter.

I like the fact that he seems to be a QB who can run, as opposed to a runner who can pass. There is a big difference.

What are people realistically expecting from him in 2014, assuming he does in fact win the starting job at the onset or shortly thereafter ?

Probably alot of interceptions from trying to do too much. He will learn as the season goes.

Unfortunately he will have to work with a lot of inexperience at receiver, which is going to be tough at first. He has the ability to make the offense dangerous if he can improve his accuracy. He can certainly supply some big plays. The o line and rbs should be able to carry the load for the most part and harris taking 5 yard runs and getting out of bounds or going down safely is ok too. I expect to see a lot of mistakes, but I'm excited to see him play and progress.

Nothing spectacular. Manage the game and let the ground game and defense do the dirty work.

Whoever the starter is, Cam Cameron will have them up to speed in no time. Cam is one of the best in the business at what he does. I laughed at all the idiots "but, but the Ravens fired him and then they won a Super Bowl."

He will hand the ball off a lot, throw safe passes and go deep once or twice a game. The same stuff we saw in 2012. Hopefully he can complete the deep ball, it will make a huge difference.

Lots of short out routes, curls, and bubble screens for the first few games. Slowly opening up more plays for Miss St and hopefully let it rip by Bama

Do like most freshman, sit on the bench waiting for a blowout game, come in on a certain down called by the coach to have him in for one play or to come in for an injury to Jennings.

Based on Harris being a true freshman in the SEC and working with new young WRs for the first time.

Based on that.

Handing off to Fournette and Magee, making plays with his feet, showing his big arm, showing his age

He may be good but I don't think he is near as gifted as RP. This isn't meant as a slight against Harris. Perrilloux was a freak with unreal potential.

I don't think you know what "near as gifted" means. He has a better arm and is just as good running with the ball, plus he's got a better head on his shoulders. With Cam around and the weapons he has, he's got the chance to be one of the best QBs we've ever had just as long as the rantards allow him to grow.
