Skyline (yeah that low budget 2010 film) is getting a sequel.

I know most won't care, but personally, I thought it was alright.

I almost started a thread on this after I re-watched a couple weeks ago. The acting was terrible, and them sequestered in a condo for the majority of the film didn't help BUT... I thought the production design was creepy & fantastic if you like sci-fi, and the ending was decidedly not-Hollywood. Definitely a layup for a sequel.

I think this is what I remember most about the film most and the fact that the aliens were (SPOLIER) just unstoppable and and that they win, from what we see.

?

Wasn't it universally hated as one of the worst movies ever?

Even with Turkelton in it, I refused to watch.

It looked like a SyFy Original movie.

Yes, it was an abomination of abominations.

It was quite depressing. The ending was really fricked up. Will watch the sequel.

I'm just standing by the effects and the whole, pretty twisted creature angle. Watching Pacific Rim - four years later, Del Toro used the same bioluminescence stuff on his Kaiju. I'd say "watch it again and see" but that would require sitting through an hour of Brittany Daniel's dramatic, boobless acting, so I get the hate. They did mercilessly kill her & most of the remaining cast off, which is another thing I liked- this thing was kind of dark.

When I think of bad movies, I don't think of Skyline. That would be an insult to bad movies.

It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Low-budget movies don't have to be terrible. District 9 was low-budget.

It really wasnt that bad at all. It wasnt big budget and it showed, but it was kind of realistic in that the aliens were unstoppable and brutal. Some people have to have a conventional happy ending I guess.

I thought it was terrible despite a decent ending. The end of the movie was the best part.

I was fine with an unhappy ending, it was what happen in the ship that took this movie to an unhealty level of awful and why this sequel shouldn't be made.
