Not sure why we keep adding all of these RT types when Armstead is the only real LT we have.

Same here Bone.
And as Paddy said I don't see any way Jones could ever handle LT with his slow arse feet. They must have someone already penciled in for a backup LT role we just have not seen.
We need more tackles.

Armstead, Terron T 6-5 304 22 1 Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Foketi, Manase T 6-5 310 23 1 West Texas A&M
Harris, Bryce T 6-6 300 25 3 Fresno State
Jones, Marcel T 6-7 320 25 1 Nebraska
Nsekhe, Ty T 6-8 325 28 1 Texas State
Rooks, Tavon T 6-5 300 24 R Kansas State
Strief, Zach T 6-7 320 30 9 Northwestern
Weaver, Jason T 6-5 305 25 1 Southern Mississippi
Welch, Thomas T 6-7 310 26 4 Vanderbilt

Just for fun our listed centers on 90 man roster.

Lelito, Tim C/G 6-4 315 24 2 Grand Valley State

61 Armstrong, Matt C 6-2 302 24 R Grand Valley State

I think its obvious...blame chad.

I think Bryce could swing to LT. Jones is more suited for RT imo.
I agree Harris could in the same sense that Strief could(and I said before that if Armstead goes down I think Strief will swing over first). But it's not something I feel either could excel at.

I agree about Jones also, but from memory I believe they tried him at LT in the preseason last year. We really only have Armstead that I feel can excel at it whereas the rest of the guys are all RT types.

It's what they've played and college and/or the NFL and what the reports say they are suited for. Most of them their game is built more for handling the power rushers and not the speed rushers. Most are also built more for the run game than pass game.

Now that doesn't mean they can't play LT, but every one I could find info on had them as RTs.

Almost all played RT in college or one year at LT and project at RT. Many are just to slow. Nsekhe is like 6'8". The others we have seen on the team already Leilto Jones and Harris. Roots actually looks the part to me more than the others for a future LT.

That's why I said I agree with Paddy that Harris and Strief could play LT. But watching them play RT (and in Strief's case having seen him play LT), they don't look athletic and/or quick enough tohandle the speed rushers on a consistent basis.

Yes they can do it but I don't see them doing it well. It's like asking Graham to block. Sure he can do it but he isn't great at it.

Updated with the newest additions.

With Bunkley taking a pay cut and only an UDFA behind him I thought Bunkley was a lock to make the roster. I still think he makes it but the addition of Deaderick makes it less of a certainty.
