Wishing the best for him, I know his fam lost everything in a house fire a few years back. Making a half a mill a year damn near should really help recover from that. God bless them.

Is that guaranteed? So like...he's guaranteed a roster spot?

I know the coaches were always high on him from the beginning..

Awesome! One of my favorite tigers over the last couple of years.

I think he's talented enough and well rounded enough with RB skill sets to make and stay on a roster.

Very proud of this kid who I've known for almost 10 years now. Great news for hi. And his family. He will continue to work hard.

Not guaranteed, gets to keep signing bonus but has to make roster to get salary

key is the signing bonus....that is all he really has. NFL contracts are crap outside of the guarantee money. So he really has $117K.....still a good amount of money and can make a lot more if he makes the 53 man roster.

I heard something the other day I did not realize. Players don't get paid year round but only during the season as far as their salary. Bill King was talking about how many pro players are broke come the end of summer. Was kind of shocking.

Good luck to Alfred Blue - hope he makes the roster and plays on Sundays. Glad to see LSU in Houston!

Good news for him I guess, but that still isn't really enough to retire on before he's 30.

Read what I wrote - it isn't enough. After tax he gets about $1.5 mil. That isn't really enough to retire on at age 30.

As long as he is on the 53 man roster, he will make around half a mill a year. If he only makes practice squad, I'm sure that changes the salary.
