Parents coming to NOLA -- where to eat?

I always have a hard time deciding where to eat when guests come to town.
They're not really the type to get dressed up and eat at a place with $30 entrees, so Galatoire's, Commander's, etc. are out.
Any more casual recommendations? The last time they came to town we did Boucherie, Domenica, The Joint. All were good choices. I want to try to mix it up a little bit though.
Will welcome all suggestions.

Wayfare or La Casita for lunch.
Mariza for dinner.

Peche or Sylvain would be choice
ETA:
Solid restaurant. More "casual" than upscale, but do be warned the appetizers average about $13 bucks and the entrees are mostly in the $30 dollar range.
I think La Petite Grocery is a better restaurant along the same vein as Atchafalaya.

Could you be a bit more precise as to what they would like and fit the wallets?

Peche is the best bang for your buck in the city. Their small plates are hardly "small" and all very affordable.
If you want to eat between 6 and 8:30, you need to book your reservations at least a week in advance.

If OPs parents are like my parents, then this is a really good option. My parents loved that place. They also really liked Martinique Bistro.

True. I was thinking more along the lines of atmosphere moreso than price.

Root
Peche
Butcher
Domenica
I think root is really under rated on this board, its one of the best meals I have had in NOLA recently.

Has to be the most over-recommended place on this board.

Good call. I try to go once every few months and they consistently get better and better every time. Went in early April and had a hell of a meal. And you can get out of there without breaking the bank.

Last Friday I made reservations for May 31, 3 weeks away, and couldn't get anything between 6:00 and 9:00. Called the restaurant and used open table.
For the op I'd like to suggest
Butcher
Domenica Pizza
Toups Meatery

I wouldn't want to go to Lola's with more than 1 other person. it's cramped as shite in there. Great food though.

I've gone with a 4 top and not had any issues.
I'll agree that it's a tiny place.

Elizabeth's for something casual, but damn good.

OK? It's still a good suggestion. Sorry you read this board too much.
