Hopeless and Helpless

This article is just a tangential resourse. Educators in public schools are being held hostage by the system. Schools in LA are being evaluated solely on a once-per-year School Performance Score. The formula for this score is complicated, but its components are completely upside-down from what you'd want top achieving schools to be reaching for. The trickle-down effect from Parish Superintendents to administrators to teachers has almost everyone in a no win situation. Sadly, it's only getting worse year to year. Just about all of my colleagues are looking to get out ASAP either through early retirement or a career change.

I can't imagine in ten years how many teachers will be sleeping with the students. I mean hell we got a teacher banging student thread every couple days now.

There's gonna be a shortage due to the increase in teachers sleeping with students.

Depends on where you are. One begats the other.

I'd also love to know what you're basing that on.

This.

The amout of girls (and a few guys) I know from HS who became teachers is mind blowing.

While some actually got the education and take it seriously, it's very obvious a lot of them just used it as a "fall back" career after graduating.

If that's your opinion, it's about to get even easier.
