While picking their draft player to make the top 100 NFL players next year Hill was picked. Another commentator mentioned no 1st round rb this year and said Hill was the only one but his off the field issues kept him from being there

Also mentioned that everyone drafts to stop the pass but Hill will make them play tackle football and can't be brought down.

Was a big day for LSU imo. Numbers of players taken and quality.

Hill, Beckham, and Landry have great shots to be good pros.

Hill had an unbelievable combo of size, vision, power, balance and speed. That is very rare. I would go as far to say he was the best back in the sec last year

Unless your an AP type talent, its going to be hard to crack the 1st round nowadays. The position is so devalued its not worth it

They also said he wrote a long letter to all 32 NFL teams with people vouching for his character. Great to see Hill overcome his past! This guy will be a special NFL RB.

Agreed.

But, there will be 2 1st round RBs taken next year in Melvin Gordon and Gurley.

If Hill didn't have off the field issues, he would have been a borderline 1st rounder.

Grodon will have to come out the gate with a great game vs LSU if not he will have a hard time cracking 1st rd. Gruley just needs to stay healthy he is very, very good but UGA doesn't have Murray sooooo........

I cant count how many games he iced the game with some beautiful 50 yard td. His ability to take on safties in the open field then run away from them could only be described as phenomenal.

Gordon would have been the #1RB taken this year, and a late 1st, but opted to return. He will be the #1RB taken next year, regardless what he does vs us in the 1st game. His skill set is highly valued by NFL teams. He gets the comparison to Jamaal Charles for a reason, and is a little bit bigger.

And Gurley is just flat out a great RB. And doesnt need Aaron Murray to be great. They didnt have a single WR threat on their team this past year and for the most part, stacked the box against them and he still shredded them. Hes arguably the best power RB to come along since guys like AP and Lynch.

If both guys stay healthy, both will go in the 1st round.

Tough shoes to fill. Thank god we got the best high school RB in years coming!

The funniest part is the idiots in Cincy are crying that they didn't draft Hyde!

In their defense, Hyde and Hill were pretty identical in every which way although Hyde didnt have the off the problems that Hill had. You have to also remember than more than likely a large percentage of Bengal fans are probably tOSU fans as well.

One HUGE difference is the holes Hill had to run thru were about half the size of the holes Hyde had.

I will always remember the SC run in 2012. We absolutely had to win that game in order to set up the chance for the win against A&M an the epic atmosphere the following week against Alabama, and Hill sealed it.

More importantly is the fact that Chris Perry, Archie Griffin, and Kijana Carter still haunt the bengals team as biggest busts of all time. RB's in the Big Ten just aren't as adaptable on the pro level due to the linemen speed in that conference not being on the same level as the SEC as a whole. Does that mean that no Big 10 RB will ever translate? Of course not, but when you see equal production from a RB in each league...it is most likely a smarter decision to draft the SEC guy.

Yep, remember that one also. Hill seemed to seal a lot of games of us. Didn't he have a run against A&M?

Not just good, but great. I could see Landry become a consistent 80+ rec 1000 yard receiver. Beckham could flash some big seasons with Randle on the other side. He's basically a better overall version of Desean Jackson, but with less speed. Hill has the chance top a top 5 RB. I'm serious too. I mean a consistent 1000-1500 yard RB.

Gordon has to find some hands, if he can get around 20 catches next year, along with his (my guess) 2000+ yard rushing season, he is a first rounder all the way. Gurley is a first rounder if he remains healthy next year. Averaged 90 yards rushing 1 TD, 66 yards receiving 1 TD, AFTER he came back from injury. That's LT, Marshall Faulk type versatility.

Yeah . I've seen a couple Bengal fans say that. They are nearly identical but I believe Hill is a tad faster and has better feet and short area quickness. Hill also performed very well at the combine and pro day in receiving drills.
