Yeah, we grew that kinda food in the country... for pennies. I appreciate the intent behind such ventures, but I just can't bring myself to pay that type of money. Sorry... I'm being an old curmudgeon right now.

Back to being serious, it all looks great. How many meals do you think you got for the $70 and $90, respectively?

I noticed a location on Tchoups, can you just walk in and buy things or can you only purchase items online?

Apparently you missed the part where he said he lives in the country.

These are all over the country and people are using them because they do want to eat better, fresher and closer to home. I'd eat all except the kingfish. Just not a fan at all.

And I too grow a very large garden both in the country and in industrial Baton Rouge.

Huh?

I really do think it's a great thing. I just can't bring myself to buy in to it.

I love the concept, it's great for a busy city dweller to get all of the farm fresh goods in one spot. But I'd rather go to my local, rural farmer's market and interact with the vendors, and score better prices. Still, it's a wonderful option that allows the producers to focus on their strengths while the marketing end is handled by others. And the variety of "stuff" is a bit more diverse than your typical CSA share.
