He'll sue and he'll win according to many in the industry (at least according to Rome and Dan Patrick). As an owner, he as rights too.

If he sues and wins, will minority players be allowed to leave the team?

If minority players and coaches are allowed to leave, who would coach and play for the Clippers? White Europeans?

Could the Clippers become an all white team? Is that possible? Would anyone watch an all white Clippers team play in the NBA?

I can't imagine.

Adam Silver has to be his butler.

ETA: Assuming, of course, Silver doesn't have insurance.

If Europeans are allowed they could field a competitive team.

He won't sue. There's been too much sunshine poured over this one.

You can take it to the bank that he will sue. You can't ban someone from his own business.

his brand is poisoned.

I foresee team not performing up to ability, fans not showing up or buying merchandise, sponsors fleeing, boycots.

in his best interest to sell now.

Exactly.

According to pretty much everyone who knows Sterling, they are convinced that he'll fight this to the end just to prove that owners won't be pressured into a course of action that easily by the NBA.

Sterling is Al Davis'esque when it comes to litigation. This was a stupid decision and he has every right to sue and would likely win.

Sterling would watch it burn to ground and still count his billions. As long as the team stays above $12 million in value he's gonna be just fine. I say he waits it out and explores every legal avenue possible

Exactly. There are a lot of stupid people in this thread who actually believe that the NBA's stance is the end all to this situation.

Sterling has a hard nosed reputation. He loves a fight. He's not going to just sell his team because people have told him to.

And, if he sells, who wins? Sterling wins because he'll make a billion dollars in the transaction.

To be honest, there's no way to actually punish him.

If the owners back Silver in this, which it appears that they have, then Sterling will lose the rights to his team for not conducting business in an "ethical" manner. I don't see how he wins.

Exactly he isn't going to sell this franchise especially now. He knows this will blow over and people will continue to buy tickets to the Clippers games. This just allows him to shed some payroll issues and run the franchise back on a shoestring budget while letting the other franchises increase his franchise' net worth every passing second.
