Best Indian restaurant in BR?

I've only been to Bayleaf and just recently one that opened by Albertsons on Jones Creek.
I thought Bayleaf was pretty good and the other one (forgot the name) was decent.
All the years I've lived in and out of BR I have never been to India's on Essen...better than Bayleaf? Any other decent places I am forgetting?

Bay leaf is the best IMO.

Curry & Kebab on Coursey is my current go-to.
Food is on par with Bayleaf and probably $5 a dish cheaper. Also not as stuffy with the white table cloths and waiters in tuxedos.

I like them all, except Himalayas:
1. Bayleaf
2a. Curry & Kabob
2b. India's
2c. Alnoor (Old Pizza Hut by Albertson's)

Bay Leaf is the best, but I look at it as being more of a special treat, maybe because of the price and the atmosphere. Curry N Kabab is a place I go to more frequently. It's more laid back, cheaper, but they have less of a selection.

I really wish it was a more casual atmosphere. For some reason, I just feel like it should be. And I always feel like service is awkward. The food is damn good though.

I'm partial to Curry-N-Kabab. The food is great and the people there are an absolute pleasure to do business with.

It pisses me off that the Indian selection is so much better in BR than NOLA

I was looking through old Indian food threads last night to see what I should order at Bayleaf. Anyone have any suggestions? I have been to all the rest of them. I really like Curry and Kabob, India's is always solid, Himalaya's is always been pretty good, and I recently went to Al Noor last week an got the Lamb Curry Chef Special and it was really damn good.
Any suggestions on what to order at Bayleaf would be helpful.

Another vote for Curry and Kebob here. Great, friendly owners

Lafayette's Indian selection is a joke too. There's one sub par restaurant and that's it.

Bay Leaf has the best food. Their lunch buffet is awesome. However, their dinner menu is pricey. We've only been going to dinner there lately whenever they offer those 225 Eats deals, which has been quite often. I do wish it were a little more casual at dinner.
Curry-N-Kabab has good food. Very casual and the most the affordable. Best thing about that place is the dinner buffet. I think it is only $12. And they bring fresh naan to each table. I wish the buffet were a little more extensive, but there are always enough options. Extremely nice people there.
Al-Noor is pretty good too. I haven't gone there for the lunch buffet yet, but dinner is solid. I need to go back. The problem is that whenever I want Indian food for dinner I'm either using a voucher at Bay Leaf or opting for the quicker/easier buffet at Curry-N-Kabab.
India's is solid option. I go there for the lunch buffet a lot since it is near my office. I haven't been for dinner. Their buffet has a lot of dishes and the food is always well-executed. They may be the least authentic when it comes to how much heat they add, and I wish it had more kick sometimes. However, it makes the afternoon at the office a little easier. I've come back from Bayleaf and felt like there was a fireball in my belly the whole rest of the day.
Haven't been to Himalayas yet as my wife won't go because she got food poisoning there once.

India's doesn't skimp on the heat for their vindaloo. That stuff is sometime nuclear, and oh so good. I agree about the price point for bay leaf. It's good, but a little out of my normal dinner price range. I need to check out curry and kabab.

Chicken Tikki Masala
Saag Paneer
Chicken Tandoori
Most recently, I tried the Chicken Tikki and that was basically just like the Tandoori except in the Chef's special yellow curry marinade. It was killer.

Yea, Vindaloo is supposed to spicy as hell. I've never seen them put that one out on the lunch buffet. Maybe they keep it real for a few items on the menu.
I recently got the Lamb Vindaloo at Bay Leaf. GOOD LORD, probably the spiciest thing I ever eaten. I used to think I didn't have a limit with spice, but that definitely was it. I needed some ice cream after finishing that.

May be one of the best ethnic restaurants I've eaten at.
