A flaw I just noticed about Harry Potter?

If the wizarding world is supposed to be secret from the muggle world, why do they use a muggle train station? And even though their platform is secret, why can't the muggles see them running into a pillar and disappearing?

They have a lot of magic to keep people from seeing things.

I thought this was going to be a time turner complaint thread

But they never cast a spell in that moment, they just full on sprint into a pillar.

Yeah, as far as flaws in the logic of Harry Potter are concerned, this would be at the bottom.

What do you mean bottom? As in she never should have included them in the story, and going back in time should not have been made a possibility?
Because I agree

As in problems I have with the logic. Really, the spells make little sense when you think about them, there's no way they could have a working economy, and Quidditch is the most dangerous game for children since the Hunger Games and the rules were clearly written by a person who doesn't understand sports.

The triwizard tournament was so much worse.
Also, how did they make it through essentially all of middle school and high school without learning basic subjects like English and math?

In the new book it will be revealed the entire story is just the dream of an autistic child.

IIRC it's explained in the first book that humans don't see anything magical. If someone were to wander up to where Hogwarts was it would be an abandoned house with a "DO NOT ENTER" sign or something like that.

I mean they make enough sense for magic spells

Why not? There aren't very many wizards, they all seem to know each other. I do agree that there is no reason for them ti have their own separate currency

Yea, the dangerous aspect I don't have a problem with. Clearly the Wizarding World is not worried about endangering children, since the school is one of the most dangerous places and as punishment they send kids into the forbidden forest to hunt down something that's killing Unicorns.
But the rules of Quidditch and the point systems are dumb, it was clearly just set up so she could make Harry important

Well there are spells and stuff set up for certain magical places to disguise them, Muggles can see magic

Well, a bit more more. The concept of the Bludger is really just horrifying and incredibly dangerous. Seriously, if that thing hits you, you're at best getting a broken arm. If it hits you in the head, that should pretty much be instant death. If it hits you in the chest, it should collapse your ribcage and stop your heart.
And lets not bring up the heights.

Yeah, another big reason why their society would not function. They're semi-literate people who are incredibly ignorant on how 99% of society works.

You just don't get wizarding culture.

90 percent of the adult characters are government employees. How is that sustainable in any way at all?

I like the books, but they aren't exactly brimming with difficult writing dilemmas. Everything in the books is either solved with a generic solution of "it's magic, piss off", or deus ex machina. and even those are conveniently forgotten when they'd solve a plot problem that Rowling doesn't want to take care of.

It's more just the rules of magic in general, in particularly how wands work and become loyal to the people who have beaten them in duels.

Because once they have their wands, then basically everything else is worthless. You could make pretty much anything, or at least enough to fool Muggles and become very rich. I know the novels say that for some reason Wizards can't create food for some reason, but we know that's bullshite since they literally have an entire class dedicated to turning things into animals and vice versa.

Yeah, Quidditch would have to be the single most enraging sport to ever watch. Imagine if in Football there was not only a way to instantly score 45 points, but this also ends the game and does not allow the other team to come back. The team that did that would win 99.99% of the time, and if they lose and still catch the Snitch, it's terrible coaching.
