Please tell me in detail how an economic structure would hold up with a group of people that can transform anything into anything else? Transfiguration on it's own seems to destroy the economic structure, and that's just the biggest of problems.

Economics is based around how to deal with scarcity. Their answer is "magic up some more shite and don't worry about it."

How can there be such a social caste system n place when there is nothing stopping anyone from cojuring up whatever they want?

90 percent of the adult characters are government employees. How is that sustainable in any way at all?

Money is just less important in their society, they don't need it for much

Then why were the weaslys poor and the malfoys rich?

Eta: or I should say, why was that such an important point that we were beat over the head with it? If money is less important, why the castes?

Also, how did they make it through essentially all of middle school and high school without learning basic subjects like English and math?

I just assumed they were incorporated in other subjects in a practical way.

For instance, geometry/trig skills is expressly meationed in dialogue for both Divination and Astronomy.

Paper writing was done in all subjects regularly.

And I figured there were British/American education system differences at play.

It doesn't make much sense. I'm confident with training that Hogwarts provides and a magic wand that I could easily become the richest man in the world. It just doesn't make sense why the Weasleys would be poor.

It was really a social class thing more than anything else.
But I didn't say money wasn't important at all, just not as important.
You could survive in the wizarding world without money

Because they can do magic and fix all those types on injuries and prevent people from falling to the ground from those heights.

I do agree that its funny how they dont take math or english classes

Also, the "flaws" yall speak of are realistic flaws, but its in a fantasy world.

Yeah I know, and I enjoy the hell out of them. It was just a thought that crossed my mind.

Yeah, as far as flaws in the logic of Harry Potter are concerned, this would be at the bottom.

Explain this one ... how does fine-arse Hermione go for a goofy ginger like Ron Weasley ?
