Anyone ever do this?
Some of the best times i've had was when I went alone. Last time I met a group of guys from Scotland who were a riot to hang out with.

Considering doing this for Paul McCartney in Dallas so I don't have to listen to my wife complain the whole time about how he hasn't played hey Jude yet.

Yes, like you said some of the best times are when I go out solo.
I also go to Tips a lot solo but I don't really count that.

When I was 19 I drove my gf and her friends to shows, and they would stand outside talking crap about everyone while the bands played, so it was like going alone.

yes sir... I've never been to an arena type show solo, but rarely do bands I like tour in those venues..

i do it all the time.. the wife and i do not share the same tastes in music. so, rather drag her to show she wouldn't appreciate, i go alone.

I don't know. If it is a band I am not familiar with I'd want a friend there. If it is an act I am really into - take Phish for example- I don't give a frick who I am with.

I do it a lot on weekdays. Usually have a friend I can talk into going with me on weekends who has the same tastes in music and such also not start talking at every break in the music so it works.

Everytime Sevendust comes to the HOB I HAVE TO GO.
Last year, there was this one time where none of my friends who liked them as well couldn't make it. I just ducked off in the back and met a bunch of cool guys from out of state.

How so? I find it better when i go alone, i dont have to fight the crowd to get back to where ever my peoples are at. Its easier to just go where you want when you are alone.
