saffron? I'd do an Indian curry chicken (heavy on the sauce).

I need a protein that'll work with that.

Nice find! I will be doing this as well. My suggestion is to pair it with this saffron basmati rice and chicken scallopine. I have cooked both of these in the past, and they are out of this world. This cauliflower will fit right in for a perfect trio.

I will be doing all three this Sunday. Pocketbook is about to get a little thinner, since I'll have to replenish my saffron real soon

I only wish saffron didn't cost an arm, leg, and a newborn at the check out counter.

That would be my pick. Mrs Otis just might have to eat something else. She's a "no go" on lamb...and veal...no one tell her that chickens aren't old and mature when they're sent to their maker.

World Market carries saffron at a somewhat reasonable price.

I purchase all of my vanilla and saffron from beanilla. Their prices are reasonable, and the quality is top notch.

I haven't used saffron before, but may try this dish soon! How much does it run? I've seen a small size container from tjs for 6 bucks I think

Moon Flower, I can't recall where I bought my saffron or how much I paid. It's a small amount and the 6 dollar purchase you referenced should be sufficient to do what you need. Please don't defile this dish with fake protein....
