For the past month I've been trying to run 15-20 miles a week. I feel better and my clothes seem to fit a little looser but I'm not actually losing any weight.

I eat healthy, no fast food and try to stay away from red meat and sodas.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm avg built but can afford lose a few lbs. I'm trying to cut 15 lbs by June.

High Intensity Interval Training is the best way to lose weight.

Oh, and clean diet.

You shouldn't even worry about the weight. It's about fat loss not weight loss.

Do you lift? Could be leaning out.

I'm trying to burn some weight myself, but I'll cut out bread, beer, and dairy.

Personally, and I'm female, I don't care about my weight. That said I'm happy with it BUT I care more about how my clothes fit and how I feel. I run anywhere from 10 - 20 miles per week depending on what point I am in training or recovery.

Keep up the good work!

Why are you worried about weight? If your clothes are looser, sounds like muscle replacing fat.

I may do dumbell presses twice a week. But nothing extreme.

Intense high repetition lifts with light weights.
You don't have to cut certain foods as long as they meet your macro requirements!

Idk how often you run. But if you arent running for 30+ minutes each time, you might not be burning much fat.

Weights aren't required, I don't think.

15-20 miles per week isn't all that much. It's definitely better than nothing, but people are always surprised to realise that 2-3 miles a day only burns about 200-300 calories. Thats a bag of chips.

How much water drink you in a day?

You should be between 1-2 gallons

Low/no carbs while running like that. People will bash that idea but it works.

To me, it's hard to lose weight running.

I get a big appetite when working out.

Nothing. You just need to add on something extra.

I was in the same boat about 5 years back, running about 15-20 miles per week, and not losing any weight. Add some extra cardio routine on top of the running you are already doing, and then the weight will start to come off. That's not to say that the running you're doing has been useless--it has likely primed your body to be ready to drop weight as soon as you add on some other stuff.

For me, boxing/jumprope routines or Stairmaster routines or long sprints do the trick to shed some pounds when the need arises. For you, something else might be preferable.

Exactly. The body naturally craves ways to pack on more muscle, but the fat will stay with it unless you go so hard core that you are almost throwing up at first with your new workout routine.

Changing your diet is way more effective at dropping weight than cardio. Find a site where you can calculate your maintenance calories. ( the amount needed to maintain your current weight. Usually around 15 calories per pound) Use an app like my fitness pal to monitor your calories. Add a few days of heavy weight training and some high intensity interval cardio rather than the distance training.
