Been on hold with ADT for 13+ minutes about an alarm event...

BR. Now their telling me the alarm isn't on and it didn't reset itself so they can't turn it back on.

ADT is actually a good company. Don't know why you're on hold so long, but consider a good portion of the US is on vacation.
Life Shield is a great company. I think Directv owns them.
I would not advise Vivint (sp) they are a high pressure sales company.

ADT always calls us when our alarm goes off for a minute... kinda nice never had an issue

Allied is very good in BR. They're on top of their shite when I break in my house cause I locked myself out

We used Tommy's Locks and Alarms when we lived in Ponchatoula and had poor service. When installed during construction they forgot one of the window contacts and wouldn't fix it. Then lightening struck one night and zapped the system....couldn't turn off a shrill tone and they wouldn't come out - had to wake the kids up and leave home for the night.

They called. Motion sensor went off. Not all of my windows are connected so I told them to send the police since I'm out of town and said send the police. 90 minutes later I have to call back and wait on hold to ask them what happened.
They also said they can't reset the alarm for me since I didn't buy some extra package.
Pretty much pointless for them to be monitoring my house if this is the case.

ADT/Tyco, or whatever they call themselves are the absolute worst. All they care about is the install and the ironclad monitoring contract, after that, they could give a frick about you and your problem
