Someone called this yesterday.

He's going to have to compete for a roster spot, but at least we know what we get with him: a great blocker on the outside with the occasional deep catch.

IF he makes the team again it will be in the same role. He was in on more run blocking snaps than receiving snaps. He's our play action receiver.
It's basically insurance if Morgan isn't ready and Toon doesn't develop.

Nice for depth. The Saints have really done a beautiful job putting themselves in a position to take BPA in just about every round. Seem to have addressed every need but center. Should get some great value in the draft. Also could package some picks together to move up and get a guy they may really covet. Just a brilliant job by Loomis this offseason.

If he makes the roster and contributes just 5 crutial plays all season then hes worth it IMO.

Good signing IMO. Cheap proven depth with experience and familiarity with the system. We know what he can do. Just about all you can ask for near the bottom of the depth chart.

That doesn't make sense. CSP must have a massive lap hog. Pics have no power over him.

They are going to have depth In all positions because last year losing guys really hurt the saints in the long run.

Definitely.
I doubt he makes the team but if he does that's not a good sign.
