Sure-fire top 10 players dont come through all the time. This still is a solid draft class, imo.

Yeah, I mean, which of these guys is a sure fire 20 and 10 guy?

Lulz. This is a deep draft of rotation players. If you're looking for a Lebron, Melo, Davis, or Durant you will be disappointed

Is it the best draft of all time, like some were saying when they were in high school? No. Is it still a really good draft? yes.

Embiid has the potential to be 1 of the best players in the NBA. But, also has some health issues.

Wiggins, Parker, Exum and Randle all will be good players in the league.

Is there a Lebron James type player? No. But there are 5+ players that could be really good players and all stars.

there really is no such thing as a surefire top 10 player in any draft.

many a dude that was beast in college didn't translate.

its pretty much a guessing game.

Randle and Embiid both have the ability to do this.

Wiggins and Jabari are going to be stars IMO.

Very strong wing draft this year. Weak on PG's outside of Smart and Exum.

this draft is awesome IMO. it's gonna be annoying for a few years while wiggins and embiid develop and we have to listen to retarded people, but it's a great class.

I dont consider Smart and Exum PGs. They are 2 guards IMO. Scorers.

I think Elfrid Payton ends up being the best PG in this draft. I like Ennis as well and think hes a safer pick. But Payton has a lot of potential and a high ceiling.

That is like 90% of the point guard's in the NBA today

Apparently his stock has plummeted since they started the season like 20-0.

Yea true. But i see both Exum and Smart primarily playing the 2 guard.

And yea I just dont think Ennis has a high ceiling. Hes solid and can play immediately and can run a system and be a solid floor leader. But dont think hes going to improve that much due to his athletic limitations, compared to PGs in the NBA right now. Similar to George Hill IMO.

Did anyone think Paul George or Damien Lillard would be this good? I think there might be someone drafted after the top 5 that surprises people.

Lillard? Yes. He was the 1st PG taken in the draft and went 6th overall. The teams that picked 2-5 were the Bobcats, Wizards, Cavs, and Kings. Bobcats just got Kemba, Wizards just got Wall, and Cavs just got Irving. The Kings had Tyreke Evans too. And Thomas Robinson was supposed to be the 2nd best player in the draft behind AD, so they thought getting him at 5 was a steal. Lillard was not a surprise.

And for Paul George, he was a relative unknown because he played ball at Fresno St and wasnt a big recruit, at all. Just a 3 *. But, at the end of his soph season he was projected to go 12th to Memphis. And was a guy that had outstanding athletic ability, great work ethic, and a productive college career. An anonymous scout said in 5 years, Paul George would be the best player to come out of the 2010 draft. And ended up going 10th overall.

He received the comparison to Scottie Pippen before he ever played in the NBA. And ive read where scouts said at worst he would be like Trevor Ariza. He was rated a 95 / 100. He just wasnt well known nationally because he went to Fresno and was never on TV.

Heres his NBA prospect page: LINK

Just because a player isnt well known to the public doesnt mean hes a "surprise" player and wasnt supposed to be this good. If you get drafted top 10 in the NBA, someone obviously thought you could become a damn good player.
