Divorce sex as seen in wolf of wallstreet

Just saw this movie the other day and that scene towards the end where his wife lets him have sex with her one last time got me thinking.
1.was this a cruel thing for her to do? Give him one last thrill before dropping the divorce bomb or was it her way of trying to soften the blow.
2. Has anyone had this happen to them from either characters point of view? Had sex then dropped the bomb or had sex then had bomb dropped on them.

The way she did it was fricked up. If it's more like breakup sex where both know it's over, then it's fine.

I know a guy's wife that did that. %#$^'ed him like never before, then talked him into going out and buying her a new car. Then left him the next day. This was a 50 something year old woman, and of course there was another man involved.

Had the bomb dropped then had sex. On multiple occasions. It was awesome. It was like sex without all the relationship hassle. It eventually fizzled though.
