Gonna get some this weekend. Will be bringing them back to the house cooked so I can drink Great Raft at home. Someone suggested bergerons to me. Thoughts?

I like Crawfish Tyme on East 70th.

Back in the day it was Shaver's but I think they've fallen off over the last decade when they got too big for their britches.

If you don't mind the drive, Crawfish Hole #2 in Minden.

I live right next to Shavers, so that is usually who I go with. They are fine by me, but I'm not a crawfish connoisseur.

If you do this, make sure you call ahead and be prepared to wait 25 or 30 minutes or so to pick up your order. They fill your order when you arrive. Waiting on a table is pretty insane right now. Had friends who waited over an hour for a table last weekend.

Cheers!

Crawfish Tyme if you wanna eat at home. Crawfish home #2 is great. Went this past Saturday night. Got there around 715. Waited 20 minutes for a table but didn't mind. Wife and I had nothing to do. Crawfish were great, good sized and spicy. I'd strongly recommend.

I've tried most of them, Crawfish Tyme on E 70th is my preferred.

I'm from the river parishes, so I'm not a fan of the "seasoned on the outside" style most places do up here.

Have not tried Bergeron's, but I may this weekend if they have them.

yep good spot for sure. if driving to Minden is an option for the OP that's some solid bugs out there. in SB proper Tyme is tops, IMO.

I ordered 16 lbs from Crawfish Tyme last weekend. I wasn't even thinking about price or that it would be very expensive. When she told me it was $110 my butt puckered for a second.

That said, they were pretty good but not as spicy as I remember them being in the past.

If you ask for spicy, they have them available.

Agreed the season on the outside ruins a good batch of crawfish.

agree with several others that crawfish #2 is the way to go.

I wasn't very impressed with them being that I just moved up here from Baton Rouge, however saying that they are by far the best I have had up here.
