Heading to the Camp Friday, Saturday. Anyone down there right now know what the water looks like? Thinking about fishing the Island Saturday.

Nope. Fished Deer Bayou--birds were diving on small shrimp, but nada on fish. Was too windy to do much of anything.

Fished Cocodrie last friday. Early in the morning it wasn't that bad. Water wasn't terrible and wind wasn't an issue. By 11, not so fun. Plan on going down tomorrow afternoon and Saturday morning. I'm just happy to be on the water right now, not expecting great conditions for a while.

I found clean water behind the islands last Friday, but the fish either weren't there or had lock jaw. It MIGHT be better this weekend because there is some tide movement but I wouldn't count on it. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm running a GatorTail all weekend, so the islands are out of the question.

Where do you fish out of? Cocodrie, Chauvin, Dulac, somewhere else?

I'd love to have a GatorTail to scout the Chauvin area. So much shallow water there.

I wouldn't expect anything....fishing hasn't been good. Water has been jacked. But, coco marina is open....so you'll have a restaurant to eat at.

Heading down tomorrow.

Last weekend we caught sheephead at the rigs by the island on Saturday, and reds on the bayou on Sunday.

Some variation of that plan this weekend.

Staying at Coco.

Bumping this thread rather than starting a new one...

Headed down Thursday night. Offshore on Friday and then trout on Saturday. Hopefully some of the trout have made their move to the south.

They have

Eta: grassy, I'm pretty sure I saw your boat at Coco Marina Friday around lunch. I was in the camo gatortail parked by the launch.
